Our Process

Let’s plan your dream ceremony together.

Knoxville wedding officiant same sex wedding ceremony

I believe you should feel comfortable and confident in your choice to have me participate in your special day, so our time together begins with a consultation. If you decide I’m the right choice for your ceremony, I’ll excitedly add your wedding to my calendar, and we’ll begin the booking process!

Every couple has a unique love story to share, so after you book, we have a deeper conversation about what you would like to include in your ceremony and talk about any special touches you want to include. I’ve officiated many weddings that involve children, grandparents, pets and symbolic acts like hand fasting and pouring sand.

Next, I begin my work by writing a beautiful ceremony that reflects your love and personalities. Once complete, you have the opportunity to review the script and provide any feedback before we finalize the ceremony details. You can also decide if you’d like to rehearse with me before your big day.

Your wedding is important to me too, and I will arrive promptly and prepared to guide you through one of the best moments of your lives. I look forward to being there with you!

Common Questions

Here are a few questions I often hear when couples are considering hiring me as their wedding officiant. Of course, please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions of your own!

  • Your license, the rings, anything needed for the unity ceremony, readings (or I can print these off for your readers)

  • My ordination/endorsement from Federation of Christian Ministries allows me to legally marry anyone in the US.

  • What a sweet ceremony…that was perfect for them…(from the couple..) “thank you so much for making this personal for us.”

  • I have other licensed, ordained officiants who can cover for me. I have used them to do so, and I have covered for them as well.

Knoxville Wedding Officiant Sandy Tracy

How did you get into the wedding business?

When I was finishing seminary and clinical training as a chaplain, another minister suggested I might enjoy officiating weddings. I was hooked.

What do you love about your job?

It’s not just an honor, it’s a joy to be invited into one of the most important days of your lives. Weddings are times of happiness for the whole family and a time of coming together with music, ceremony and love. Your joy is my joy, and I love being part of your day.

Have you had unexpected things happen during a wedding?

Of course! But even when there are bumps in the road, we can make it work and have great memories.
